Birraio dell’Anno: the event

Birraio dell’Anno will be held at the Obihall theater in Florence from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th January, 2019. Created and organized by the network Fermento Birra, the award will find the best Italian craft brewer. Anyone who is passioned about beer can’t miss this event with a wide range of beer selection: 150 on tap craft beers, 25 Italian breweries selected by 100 professionals.

At its 10th edition, the Award is a showcase for a domain with internationally recognized excellence, and dedicated to unique craft products created by Italian brewers, who will describe their passion through their beers. As a tradition, on Sunday 20th at 4:30 p.m., the well-known taster Lorenzo “Kuaska” Dabove will run the award ceremony and say the winners’ names, both for the brewer of the year and for the emerging brewer (at least 2-year experience).

There will also be a selection of food truck with delicacies from Tuscany and other Italian regions.

During the event, there will be free tastings and workshops on the stage, at the Beer Show area. At the Beer Match area, first floor, you can book your place for guided tastings (compulsory reservation). Anyone can participate in an event created to celebrate good Italian craft beer!

Entrance fees
Daily entry ticket: 10 euros (including a glass and 2 token)
Reduced entry ticket: 7 euros (including a glass and 2 token)
3-day entry ticket: 15 euros (including a glass)
You can have a Mini-Teku glass instead of the regular one with 1 token.
Tickets are available at the ticket booth.

Beer costs
1 token = 1 euro
Half a glass (0,15l) is 2 tokens (3 for special beers)
A full glass (0,30l) is 4 tokens (6 for special beers)

Opening times
Friday, 18th January 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Saturday, 19th January 2019 from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Sunday, 20st January 2019 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
